About Waitgames
Waitgames is a small collection of fast, free browser games built for the in-between moments — the minute you're waiting on a build to finish, a model to respond, a kettle to boil, or a meeting to start.
Most game sites want you to stay forever. This one is the opposite. Every game here is designed to be opened in one tab, played for thirty seconds to a few minutes, and closed again without losing anything. No level you have to grind back to, no streak that punishes you for stepping away. Pick something, play a round, get on with your day.
What we believe
- Instant, not infinite. Games load immediately and are meant for short sessions, not endless ones.
- No signup, ever. You never need an account to play anything on Waitgames.
- Your device, your data. Progress and stats are saved locally in your browser, not on our servers.
- Keyboard-first, mobile-friendly. Everything works with a keyboard on a laptop and with touch on a phone.
- Each game stands alone. Every game lives at its own clean URL, so you can link a friend straight to the one you mean.
The collection
The lineup is a mix of arcade classics and quiet puzzles, all rebuilt to be light and quick:
- Slither — smooth, modern snake.
- Twos — slide and merge tiles toward 2048.
- Sweep — minesweeper with three difficulties.
- Brickwave — neon breakout with endless waves.
- Stacks — clean falling-block stacking.
- Five — a new five-letter word puzzle every day.
- Patience — a calm idle counter.
- Solitaire — classic Klondike with one-card draw.
- Sudoku — a fresh daily grid with pencil marks.
- Glide — one-tap flap through the gaps.
- Stride — the gloriously awkward 100-meter run.
Daily puzzles
Two of the games — Five and Sudoku — serve the same puzzle to everyone each day. That means you and a friend can compare how you did on the exact same challenge. A new one arrives every morning.
How it's built
Each game is a small, self-contained web page with no heavy frameworks behind it, which is why they open so quickly even on a slow connection. The whole site is built to stay out of your way: it loads fast, runs in any modern browser, and works just as well on a phone as on a desktop.
Support and contact
Waitgames is free to play and supported by ads so it can stay that way. If you'd like to help out directly, you can buy us a coffee. Found a bug, or have a game you'd love to see added? Email [email protected] — we read everything.
