About Brickwave

Brickwave is breakout with the saturation turned up — a paddle, a ball, and wall after wall of neon bricks. The formula goes back to Atari's Breakout in 1976 (whose arcade hardware Steve Wozniak famously worked on before Apple existed), and it has never really left. Watching a screen full of bricks dissolve one bounce at a time is still one of gaming's most satisfying loops.

Brickwave's twist is that it doesn't stop: clear a wave and the next one arrives to keep the run going. You have a small stock of lives, a best score to beat, and no menus standing between you and the next attempt.

Tip: Catch the ball with the edge of the paddle on purpose — angle control is the whole game.

Brickwave FAQ

Does Brickwave ever end?

No — clear a wave and another follows. A run lasts as long as your lives do, and the goal is your best score.

What controls the ball's angle?

Where it meets your paddle. The center returns the ball nearly straight up; the edges send it out at sharp angles.

Can I play on a phone?

Yes — drag anywhere to steer the paddle. On a computer you can use the mouse or the arrow keys.

Is my score saved?

Your best score is stored locally in your browser, on your device only. No account needed.
